BIO

Francis Koch is a Montreal based painter of Canadian and Swiss origin who studied visual arts, illustration and graphic design. He exhibited in Canada and the United-States as well as realized live performances and in-situ work all over Europe and Canada.

In his work, Koch is particularly interested in the nomadic act notion as a way of questioning the post-industrial, “hyper-sedentarized” era. His paintings articulate around the continuation of travel by illustrating them through the prism of the return. He depicts nomadic fragments sampled from different sources and from which emerges a travel conscience.
